A dual-fuel system combines an electric heat pump with a gas furnace. FortisBC’s October 6 contractor announcement outlines these upcoming offers:
Up to $4,000
For a qualifying dual-fuel heating system replacement.
Up to $8,000
Income qualification and all equipment and installation requirements apply.
The announcement gives an October 15 program return date but states that systems must be installed after October 15, 2026. Confirm the exact eligible installation date, full terms and deadlines with FortisBC before proceeding. Do not assume an earlier installation qualifies.
Customers apply for their own FortisBC rebate. The contractor must supply the required commissioning information and old/new equipment photos through DSMAlly, plus the documentation the customer needs.
Additional income-qualified offers announced: water heater $2,500; thermostat up to $200; ventilation up to $2,400; insulation up to $2,000; windows and doors up to $7,500. Qualifying equipment, measures and full terms still need to be checked. This list is program information, not a statement that Central HVAC supplies every listed service.

Do not add the advertised maximums together. These are different offers with their own requirements. Confirm any combination with the program administrators before relying on it in your budget.
No. A service or equipment name alone does not establish eligibility. In particular, the announced dual-fuel offer requires a qualifying heat pump and furnace combination. Ask us to review the exact system and applicable program before you choose equipment.
Your existing heating and water-heating equipment, approximate age, current fuel and the upgrade you are considering. Submit income documents only through the program’s official application process, not through our general contact form.
No. The program administrator determines eligibility. We will confirm equipment requirements and the applicable contractor registration before treating a proposed installation as rebate-eligible.
Tell us what you have now and what you want to replace. We can help identify which program requirements need to be checked before an estimate or installation.
